SHAMROCK ROVERS could face Kylian Mbappe and Neymar as part of their preparations for the League of Ireland restart.
The Hoops are reportedly in talks about facing Paris Saint Germain in warm up friendly in Paris later this month.
The 2020 Premier Division season is set to get back underway on the 31st of July with Rovers currently top of the table having won all of their first five games.
And Stephen Bradley’s Hoops could be about to face the Champions League giants for a tune-up ahead of the restart.
Reports in France from RMC Sport suggest Rovers are in talks about making the trip to the French capital on July 17th.
The reigning French champions currently have a friendly against Le Havre lined up while talks are also in place to face Scottish champions Celtic.
Rovers are aiming to win a first Premier Division crown since 2011 and end Dundalk’s dominance which has seen the Lilywhites crowned champions in five of the last six seasons.
Stephen Bradley’s side made the perfect start to the season, winning all of their matches including dramatic victories over Bohemians and Dundalk.
The season is scheduled to resume at the end of this month with two rounds of fixtures scheduled and full relegation and promotion from the top tier as planned.
SunSport understands that a fixture list – which will see games spread out across the week and streamed online – will be produced in the next week, possibly by Friday.
And whether games will be behind closed doors or with a limited number of fans will be the subject of discussions with Government.
However the FAI board are set to review the plans after receiving a letter from a number of clubs outlining their unhappiness.
