Now he has had surgery on the injury and Goal are reporting he is expected to be out for the remainder of the season.
And, if the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star does miss 10 months of action, that could see Neymar pocket £107MILLION from his club while injured.
A video on Instagram was shared of Neymar from his hospital bed as doctors checked over his leg.
He also shared a picture of him lying in bed while on FaceTime.
Alongside the image, he added the caption: “Thank you Lord!
“Everything is alright… now, strength and patience in recovery .”
The surgery was completed by Dr. Rodrigo Lasmar, doctor of the Brazilian team and Atletico-MG.

A video was released of Neymar in his hospital bed[/caption]And while he is set to miss the rest of the domestic campaign, Brazil remain hopeful he will be ready for the Copa America next summer.
But that will be of no consolation to Al-Hilal– who will continue to pay the ex-Paris Saint-Germain star his lucrative contract.
Neymar has played just five games for the Saudi side, scoring one goal.
But Al-Hilal, who also boast the likes of Aleksandar Mitrovic, Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Neves, do sit top of the Saudi Pro League, four points clear of Al-Nassr.
