And club officials are reportedly prepared to offer him a staggering £11.6m-a-week.

That adds up to over £600m-a-year.

Mbappe‘s proposed wage would make him the highest-paid footballer of all time, blowing the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar out of the water.

Ronaldo became the current top earning sports star when he joined Saudi side Al Nassr in January.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner now rakes in £173m-a-year – a huge increase on what he previously received at Manchester United.

His former Real Madrid team-mate, Karim Benzema, earns a similar amount at new club Al-Ittihad.

Benzema swapped the Santiago Bernabeu for Saudi last month and he now earns £172m-a-year.

Messi doesn’t come close to his old Clasico rivals, earning £48m a year after embarking on a new life in the USA with Inter Miami.

Ex-Chelsea star N’Golo Kante comes in above Messi on the list after his own mega-money switch to the Middle East.

Although it’s understood he’ll be raking it in from other endorsements.

And it’s not just footballers whose salaries Mbappe’s would dwarf.

Golf star Phil Mickelson was the biggest name to jump ship to the controversial rebel LIV Golf league

And it saw the American join the ranks of astronomically-paid athletes as he pocketed a signing bonus of around £142MILLION from the Saudi-backed tour.

Two-time Formula One world champion Max Verstappen takes home £44m-a-year – significantly more than his rival Lewis Hamilton.

And NBA stars Nikola Jokic and Stephen Curry are the highest-paid stars in basketball, with both earning over £42m-a-year.
