PSG are considering letting Neymar go to Barcelona but want Clement Lenglet plus cash in return, it has been claimed.

The French champions look set to part with the maverick Brazilian but are determined to see the centre-half come the other way.

Lenglet, 24, started his career with Nancy in France and according to Spanish publication SPORT is greatly admired by the powers that be at PSG.

The Frenchman moved to the Nou Camp from Sevilla for around £31million last summer but struggled to stamp his authority on the side having made just 23 La Liga appearances last season.

LESSER KNOWN LENGLET

As a result, Barca appear willing to part company with the defender if it means they can be reunited with Neymar.

The Catalans were reportedly considering including Philippe Coutinho or Ousmane Dembele in a swap deal but PSG seem to prefer the lesser known Lenglet.

While there is still uncertainty surrounding the cash value of the potential deal, it certainly seems to be getting closer.

And after Neymar recently failed to turn up for PSG’s pre-season training camp, the writing seemed to be on the wall.

Earlier this month PSG sporting director Leandro also admitted a move for the Brazilian could materialise – but only if the money was right.

He said: “Neymar can leave PSG, if there is an offer which suits everyone.

“But up to now, we do not know if anyone wants to buy him, or at what price.

“It will not be done in a day, that’s for sure.”
